What are potions?

Potions are our seasonal, handcrafted cocktails. Each potion is  designed to awaken your senses and ignite your spirit. Our igniculi in ampulla, or “little fires in a bottle,” come either shaken or stirred, with artisanal spirits, fresh botanicals, and flavors from around the world - always made with love and served with style!

What about non-alcoholic options?

Absolutely! We believe everyone deserves a seat at the table. We offer sophisticated zero-proof potions made with herbs, teas, and botanicals—perfect for guests who want the magic without the booze.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes, our bartenders are TIPS-certified and we carry general liability insurance. This ensures that your event is not only fun and memorable, but also safe and professional.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes! Upon signing a contract with us, we ask you to pay a deposit that is equal to 20% of the total estimated cost of service. The rest of the total is due by the day of the event. 

Who provides the alcohol?

Potions is a dry-hire service.  This means that you, the client, purchase the alcohol directly. We provide guidance on brands, quantities, and sourcing, and then bring all the magic to life through mixing, presentation, and service. 

Why this model?

Colorado law (and many venues) requires that alcohol be purchased by the host, not the bartender. This approach keeps things transparent and gives the client complete control over the budget, the brands, and the overall vibe of their  celebration. 

When it comes to sourcing alcohol, what sort of guidance will you provide?

Menu Planning - We’ll help you finalize the menu for your event - your beer, wine, and cocktail selections.

Curated Shopping List - We’ll provide you with an exact breakdown of the alcohol brands and quantities needed, and where to buy them. All of the brands can be sourced locally from either large liquor retailers or small, independent shops.

Delivery/Storage - Some stores can deliver directly to your venue; otherwise, we’ll coordinate pick-up and drop-off before the event.

Do you travel for events?

Yes! We’re based in Denver, but we love bringing the magic on the road. Travel fees may apply depending on location.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 1–2 months in advance to secure your date, especially during wedding and holiday seasons. For custom cocktail development, the earlier we can collaborate, the better.

Do you provide a bar, or do we need to have one at our venue?

We offer both options! You’re welcome to provide a tabletop or designated space at your venue for us to set up and bartend from. We also offer a standalone mobile bar rental for an additional fee. This full bar unit creates a professional centerpiece and can be styled to complement your event’s design.

What does your bar setup look like?

We’ll bring everything but the booze! Each package comes with a complete mobile bar setup, eco-friendly disposables, chic décor, and plenty of ice. We bring everything needed to turn any space into an enchanting bar experience. 

Do you provide glassware?

We do not provide glassware, but can help coordinate glassware for your event if you prefer a more elevated cocktail experience.
